Bible Baptist Church exists...
… to make disciples of all nations for Christ by awakening in all peoples a fruitful delight in God and his word (Mt. 28:19-20; Ps. 138:2; 1 Tim. 3:15; Rom. 11:33-36).
Our Mission
Reaching our community and beyond with the good news that Jesus saves (Luke 15, 19:10)
Discipling and Teaching believers through the Bible how to joyfully love God and love their neighbors as themselves (Col. 1:28; Matt. 22:37-40)
Sending those believers back out into the world to share with others the story of how Jesus saved them (Rom. 10:13-15; Acts 1:8)
Why are we called Bible Baptist Church?
God made all things through Christ, the divine incarnate word (John 1:1-3). In these last days he has spoken to us through Christ (Heb. 1:1-2). The Scriptures or God’s written word bears witness about Christ, God’s incarnate word (Jn. 5:39). God’s word is “living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart” (Heb. 4:12). Also, “all Scripture is breathe out by God” and is able to make every disciple of Christ “complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Tim. 3:16). Scripture will be the standard for judgment on the last day (Rev. 20:12). Heaven and earth will pass away, but not a dot or iota of God’s word will pass away (Mt. 5:18). Scripture defines the church as a pillar and buttress of the truth (1 Tim. 3:15). These are the reasons why we are called Bible Baptist Church.
Our intention is not to claim to have a better name than other healthy churches, nor to merely mimic other churches who have similar names. It is to remind us of what the church truly is and remain a church regardless of the storms that come our way.
The message of first importance of Scripture is the death and resurrection of Christ (1 Cor. 15:3-4). This will be the message of first importance in our church.
We are Baptists because we believe in and practice elder-led congregationalism. We believe in believer’s baptism, the authority and sufficiency of the Bible, freedom to worship, the primacy of conscience, and baptism by immersion. We are a reformed evangelical Baptist church.
